The LEAD Summit
Launched in the spring of 2015, this initiative is designed to create a diversity leadership training program for all student leaders, targeting those who directly interact with and influence campus life and culture. It will function on three levels to develop leadership skills, educate leaders on how the role of diversity in leadership, and foster dialogue and action between different communities on campus.
The Summit is designed to help students understand why diversity is relevant in the context of leadership, develop concrete leadership skills and practices, and learn how to address diversity issues that arise in academic, personal, and professional settings. Participants will come out of the Summit able to initiate meaningful conversations around diversity and leadership with their peers, and plugged into a strong network of student leaders with whom they can exchange ideas about exercising leadership and promoting diversity.
The 2016 Summit will take place from April 22-24.
